A New Generation of Pinup Girl!

Amano Survives New York City!

Hey Intrawebz!

I know you missed me.
Sometimes I just have to unplug and do terrestrial things. Well I’m finally
back to HQ safe and sound. Spicy didn’t burn the place down at all. Rumor has
it he was down in Tijuana all weekend long, go figure.

Times Square, Manhattan 2/6/2009

New York City was great! The comic book convention was a fantastic excuse to take a trip out there. It wouldn’t take much for me to live there that’s for sure. It gets very little sleep just like me, too! Got to do a little site seeing at night. Its amazing to me just how many people were out in Times Square so late at night! It wasn’t like back when I was growing up there… adult theaters, hookers, pimps with no style. Its a total tourist trap

..

Danger, giraffes!!!

Got the grand tour from my brother, who lives in the city. We hit the four story Toys R Us… yeah I don’t wanna grow up can u tell? haha. Man they had the coolest displays there:

Check out this cool web slinging Spidey!

Playmobiles on glowing stars!

Ginormous mechanical dinos!

Down the street there was even a whole store dedicated to M&Ms… I mean literally every color imaginable!

Rockefeller Center was a blast! No skating for me, but I busted a gut laughing at everyone who bit the biscuit on the ice! I is evil!

I am a huge architecture buff. So I spent more of my film snapping pictures of statues and building decore. This city is particularly amazing for it! Check out Atlas flexing his muscles… this one is for the ladies!

Even got to stop by Magnolias for some midnight cupcake nosh. Red velvet was crazy delicious!

Needless to say, I was still programmed to West Coast time so having to get up at 7am was painful. I was totally zombified throughout the con! bleh! I was super fortunate to have
the most beautiful and talented ladies keeping company at the table:

Fenny and Paigey!

Our table neighbors totally kicked ass too… Monte Moore and Karl Kerschl! Not only are these guys talented but they had a will of steel to put up with our drinking and non-sense. I think they at least deserve a medal for that! haha. Go check out their work btw, do eet… tell em Amano sent you!

I’m really glad I had my camera with me, it really fills in the gaps on these trips cuz they are such a blur sometimes! We had a lot of really cool costumes swing by the table this year:

I felt much safer with the Green Lanterns protecting out rums.

These ladies were totally rockin some smexy corsettes.

A very sexy Pheonix (thanks to my brother for the recon photography!)

This guy was just freakin hilarious… MUCH MUCH drunker than me!

A very VERY gangsta Poison Ivy, kudos to you grrl I don’t know if I could have braved the cold weather with only a few leaves to cover me naughty bits!

I have way more pictures to go thru. I will prolly be posting some up in my gallery. I had a outstanding time in New York! I heard the con is bumped to October 2010… you KNOW I’ll be there for it!

Thank you to everyone who came by my table… thank you for all your support! Looks like Mega*Con is only a few weeks away. I will definitley be looking forward to warmer climates!

Viva le pinup,
